 | Patriot’s Dream Comes True

| | In late-March, I received an enthusiastic email from a soldier about a new country western singer, praising the singing talent and encouraging a visit to the singer’s site. I am not sure what I was doing at the time . . . other than being very busy. However, an email from or about one of our troops always gets my immediate attention, especially when it is sent to me, as the Founder / Owner of USA Patriotism! So, I decided to take a quick visit to this new country western singer’s site and to see what prompted the exuberant tone expressed by the sender. Well, it became an extended visit that left me very impressed with this young man’s voice and the quality of the songs written by him. | |

| | Moreover, I learned that he recently was released from the U.S. Marines and served in Iraq during the same period as my youngest son. Needless to say, this bit of news brought a smile to this proud father and reminded me of my April 2003 article, "Very Proud and Worried". |  | | It is very refreshing to see a young man, who served his country proudly under combat conditions, having a chance to go after his dream of being a country western singer. Better yet, read his words for yourself… "I told myself over there ‘God, if I make it out of here, I’ll never ask you for another thing!’ I wanted to get back home and live my dream of being a country singer, and I realized in Iraq that life is too short not to go for the dreams you really want . . . Our American soldiers are proud, brave, strong and united. My work is a tribute to all those who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces today..." Adam Marshall is this Marine / country western singer! Adam, wishing you only the best in your singing career and on behalf of my son -- "Semper Fi!" |
