America's Greatest Heroes
"
Medal of Honor Recipients"

There are probably many Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Coast Guardsmen whose valor went unreported due to no surviving witnesses throughout the history of the military services defending the United States in time of peril and for other purposes.

Then there are those heroes whose bravery have been rewarded with the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Silver Star, Navy Cross, Distinguished Flying Cross, and other honors / citations... All deserve our constant gratitude of serving beyond the call of duty!

And none more then those who achieved the highest recognition for their country in time of combat . . . the Medal of Honor Recipients!

Where would this country be without all these greatest heroes?

They performed their duty . . . Their personal concern being secondary to those around them . . . doing what it took to safeguard their fellow troops while fighting to keep Old Glory safe and those who pledge allegiance to it... free!

Since 1861 when the Medal of Honor was created, these 3,400 plus fine and noble reminders have represented the best of the best in the service of the USA...

They truly deserve our solemn remembrance and tribute!
