SANDS | |
|
Soldiers take up their arms
And lay down their lives
Enabling countries freedoms
For God, strangers, children and wives
Marching past rivers, rivers or streams
One foot in front of the other
Each holding a nations dream
Some days they hunger
Others they thirst
But never forgetting
Their country comes first
They expect no reward
Or applause from our hands
Only to hope another soldiers feet
Will never touch foreign sands | By Crystal Snyder
